This position is hired and terminated by the Town Administrator. The position is responsible for assisting the Water Operator with the day-to-day operation of both the Water Utility, Street Department and Park Department. The objective of this position is for the Operator in Training (OIT) to successfully complete the Alliance Indiana Rural Water, Water Operator in Training Apprentice Program, pass the WT3 exam and the DSM certification and obtain both licenses, and take over the Water Operator position for the Town of Otterbein within the two-year probationary period.
